Kody Evans Post Race Report: Federated Car Care Fall Classic 200

(Mooresville, NC, September 21, 2015--)  17-Year-old Kody Evans had one goal Saturday evening in  his ARCA Racing Series debut in the Federated Car Care Fall Classic at the Salem Speedway, complete all 200 laps.

The Camden, Ohio native completed his goal and more in the 98th running at the Salem Speedway and was rewarded a solid 12th place finish.

It didn’t take long for the JEGS/CRA ALL-STAR standout to get up to speed as he timed in sixth fastest in ARCA final practice.

Evans would slot the No. 78 Adesa Auto Auctions Chevrolet into the 14th position in Menards pole qualifying presented by Ansell.

Evans raced inside the top-10 for much of the evening and raced his way as high as 5th before finishing the 200 lap event in 12th.

“This was a great opportunity, I am really pleased with everything this weekend,” Evans stated after the 200 lap event.

“We got up to speed fairly quick during the day and during the first part of the race just decided to ride and save our equipment. It was really a lot of fun racing inside the top-10 all evening.”

“We just needed one more pit-stop and then we could have competed for a top-five finish. My goal was to complete all the laps and earn respect and I did that.”

“I can’t thank MMM enough for allowing me this great opportunity, they’re a top notch organization and I can’t thank our partners Adesa Auto Auctions, Cassel Insurance Co. And Performance Transport for their support for my first ARCA race.”
